Patrick C. Arp

Undergraduate Student Trustee

Patrick C. Arp is a junior from Mason, Ohio, studying biomedical science and economics with a minor in mathematics. He is also a Stamps Eminence Scholar, one of a select group of undergraduate honors students focused on academic rigor, service and leadership throughout their student career.

Mr. Arp is a deeply engaged member of the Ohio State community. He has co-founded two student organizations and held leadership roles in both. Grant Central works to equip students with grant-writing skills and pair them with area nonprofits in need of this expertise. Memory Mates, of which Arp was co-president, offers weekly opportunities for persons living with dementia to engage in social activities and light movement while providing respite time for caregivers. He is also the undergraduate representative on the Health Science Library Advisory Committee, where he provides a student perspective to inform the best use of library resources and space, and is the director of sponsorship for the Columbus Clinic Host Group, a student-led free pop-up health clinic.

In addition to his service commitments, Mr. Arp dedicates extensive time to research in the field of health economics — specifically public policy related to aging and long-term care. During the 2023-24 academic year, he was a research assistant in the lab of Dr. Nagaraj Kerur in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Ohio State. He currently holds a research assistantship at the University of Pennsylvania’s Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics.
