George A. Skestos
George A. Skestos founded Arcadia Holdings, LLC in 2001 to provide growth capital to small and mid-market businesses. He directs and is responsible for all due diligence, risk management and disposition decisions of Arcadia investments.
Prior to founding Arcadia, Mr. Skestos was an assistant vice president at Huntington Capital Corp., where he actively sourced and managed the private placement of debt and equity. Before joining Huntington Capital, he was a Congress-Bundestag Fellow, involved in the privatization of businesses in the former German Democratic Republic. He began his career at Huntington National Bank as a relationship banker, with broad exposure to retail, mortgage and commercial banking.
Mr. Skestos served as trustee for publicly traded Diamond Hill Funds for fifteen years and currently serves as a board member or board chair for several privately held businesses.
Community is a priority for Mr. Skestos, who has served on the boards of Columbus Academy as well as the Columbus Museum of Art, where he was chair. He has also served as a trustee at the Columbus College of Art and Design, and the Center of Science and Industry (COSI).
Mr. Skestos graduated from University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and later earned a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
Mr. Skestos and his wife, Danielle, are the parents of four children and reside in Columbus.
