
University Board
The university Board of Trustees serves as the chief fiduciary and strategic body of The Ohio State University.
Current trustees
Ohio’s governor appoints 15 voting trustees and two non-voting student trustees, all of whom must be Ohio residents. Additionally, the board may select up to three non-voting, non-Ohio residents to serve as charter trustees for three-year terms.
Committees
Standing committees of the board, the members of which are appointed annually by the chair, consider and make recommendations for action by the board on various matters.
Meeting calendar
The Board of Trustees and its committees meet throughout the year with focused agendas and presentations. Meetings are open to the public, but seating is limited.
Archived meeting minutes
The board maintains meeting minutes for each fiscal year dating back to 1870.

Today's trustees build on the work of generations of volunteer leaders who have guided the university since before its founding.
