Bradley R. Kastan is a senior vice president with Janney Montgomery Scott and a 40-year veteran of the financial services industry. Throughout his career, he has been recognized among the top performers in the industry working with individual investors as well as corporate institutions and municipalities. In addition to portfolio management, his work includes investment banking and public finance. The Financial Times has ranked Mr. Kastan among their top advisers.

A 1981 graduate of The Ohio State University, his commitment to his alma mater has remained strong over the years. Together with his wife, Holly, the Kastans are lifelong Buckeye football fans and longtime supporters of the university’s Office of Student Life and The James. Over the last 15 years, they have been leading advocates and supporters for Ohio State’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.

The Kastans are also committed to helping Columbus’ most vulnerable families. They have been involved for many years and served consecutive board terms at the Community Shelter Board, a central Ohio nonprofit organization that funds and coordinates services for unhoused families.

Mr. Kastan was appointed by Governor George Voinovich to the Board of Trustees of Columbus State Community College and to the Ohio Arts Council. Governor Bob Taft appointed him to the Capital Square Review and Advisory Board. In addition, he served on the boards of the Ashbrook Center at Ashland University and the Center of Science and Industry (COSI). He also served as board chair for the Bexley Education Foundation.

The Jewish community has also benefited from Mr. Kastan’s leadership and service. He chaired the Columbus Jewish Foundation board and co-chaired the Jewish Community Relations Council at JewishColumbus. He was president of the board of Ohio State University Hillel and served on the board of the Jewish community’s rehab, hospice and elder care facility, Wexner Heritage Village. He helped lead Ohio Governor George Voinovich’s trade mission to Israel, and he was asked by Governor John Kasich to lead in the creation of the Ohio Holocaust and Liberators Memorial.

Mr. Kastan has been recognized with numerous leadership awards throughout his career. He received The Ohio State University’s William Oxley Thompson Alumni Award, the Therese Stern Kahn Leadership Award from the Columbus Jewish Federation, the Gordon B. Zacks Leadership Award, the Columbus Jewish Foundation Vision Award and the State of Israel Bonds Leadership Award.  

The Kastans live in Bexley, Ohio, and have three married children and two grandchildren.
