About the Search Firm

The Presidential Search Committee retained Isaacson, Miller to serve as its executive search firm.

About Isaacson, Miller

Isaacson, Miller (IM) was founded in 1982 to recruit exceptional leaders for nonprofit organizations. The firm conducts more than 300 senior-level executive searches annually and has completed more than 7,000 searches since its founding.

IM's higher education practice is one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive; it accounts for more than half of their work. IM’s experience with some of the nation’s leading public and private research universities includes searches for chief executive officers, as well as a range of senior academic and administrative leadership. They also work across the spectrum of organizations with public and civic missions, and the breadth of their experience is a strength and distinguishing feature; they are able to reach broadly across an extensive network of contacts for possible sources and candidates in their searches. They are also committed to intentionality in their approach to ensuring that diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of their professional efforts.

The firm is majority women-owned with more than 225 employee-owners located in offices in Boston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
