As Aetna’s Senior Vice President of Strategy & Consumer Experience, Erin Hoeflinger believes in bold missions, sound strategies and the importance of transforming the consumer health experience. Mrs. Hoeflinger is charged with leading the implementation of Aetna’s strategy and ensuring its alignment with operating plans across the business. In this capacity, she is responsible for leading the Consumer Experience, Strategic Programs, Community Affairs, National Partnerships and continuous improvement teams. Mrs. Hoeflinger is a critical member of the Aetna leadership team, and reports directly to the Office of the President.

A veteran in the health care industry, Mrs. Hoeflinger's career spans more than 25 years and includes key leadership roles in diverse areas, including Pharmacy, Health Care Management, Provider Contracting and Sales, Operations, and IT. This depth and breadth of industry experience gives Mrs. Hoeflinger significant insights and an enterprise perspective that brings immense value to Aetna.

Prior to joining the company, Mrs. Hoeflinger had a track record of success at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, serving as Senior Vice President and President, Commercial Local Business Division. She was responsible for overseeing Anthem’s commercial business with over $32B in revenue and 16.6 million members. Other leadership roles she has held include SVP and President of Anthem’s East Region Local markets, and President of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine.

Mrs. Hoeflinger's many professional accolades include earning the Glass Ceiling Award from the Diversity Council and being named to Cincy Magazine’s prestigious “Power 100” list for the past seven years. She was also a “Top 20 Professional Women to Watch.” Mrs. Hoeflinger sits on the boards of First Financial Bank and Midmark Corporation. She also served on the Healthcare Leadership Council in Washington, DC.

Mrs. Hoeflinger holds a bachelor’s degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and a Master of Business Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio

Mrs. Hoeflinger resides in Springboro, Ohio, with her husband and two daughters.
