Janice M. Bonsu is a student in the College of Medicine and a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.
She received her Bachelor of Science in neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University and her Master of Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Bonsu has experience in student leadership, having served as the executive president of the Student Government Association, and most recently, as the College of Medicine's senator to the Inter-Professional Council.
Ms. Bonsu is passionate about research, mentorship and expanding opportunities to historically underserved populations. She conducts cardio-oncology research on Ohio State's Columbus campus under the leadership of Dr. Daniel Addison, investigating disparities in cardiology clinical trials. She is an active volunteer in the community, particularly through the Cardiac Surgery Interest Group with which she teaches cardiovascular science to middle and high school students in Columbus. In the future, she hopes to pursue cardiovascular medicine in service to our military members and civilians.
Ms. Bonsu graduated from Pickerington North High School in Pickerington, Fairfield County, Ohio.
