The Ohio State University is governed by a board of 17 trustees who are responsible for oversight of academic programs, budgets and general administration, and employment of faculty and staff. (The expiration date of each trustee's term is May 13th of the year listed in parentheses.)
Current Members
G. Gilbert Cloyd, chairman of the board, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was appointed to the board of trustees in 2005. He is chief technology officer of Procter & Gamble and was born in East Cleveland, Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1969. Following graduation, he entered a private veterinary practice in Chicago. He returned to Ohio State for some graduate work in veterinary pathology in 1971. He entered a private practice in Cincinnati in 1972 and began consulting work in toxicology, including work with P&G.
He joined Procter & Gamble full-time at their Miami Valley Innovation Center in 1974 in their Corporate Professional and Regulatory Services Division. From 1974-1978 he was responsible for the clinical pathology lab and toxicology programs for product safety. From 1978-1984 he continued responsibilities for product and environmental safety in the Packaged Soap and Detergent Division and Corporate organization. In 1984 he moved to Norwich, New York, and assumed responsibilities for Research & Development in their pharmaceuticals business. He moved into general management in 1989, and in 1991 was appointed vice president, assuming overall responsibility for their Global Pharmaceuticals business.
In 1997, Dr. Cloyd assumed responsibilities as vice president for Research & Development in Asia for P&G. He held that position until 2000, living in Kobe, Japan. He returned to Cincinnati in 2000 and assumed his current position, chief technology officer. In this capacity, he has overall functional responsibility for P&G’s global Research & Development organization. This global organization numbers about 9,000 employees in 27 technical centers around the globe. The range of research involves chemistry, engineering, materials science, medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, biology including biotechnology, mathematics, robotics, nutrition, and electronics.
Gil lives with his wife, Susan, in Cincinnati. They have two children and seven grandchildren. He also serves on the Children’s Hospital Medical Center Research and Education Committee.

Karen L. Hendricks, vice chairperson, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was appointed to the board of trustees in 1999 by Governor Bob Taft. She is retired chair of the board, chief executive officer, and president of the Baldwin Piano & Organ Company.
Prior to joining Baldwin, she was executive vice president and general manager at The Dial Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona. Ms. Hendricks spent almost 21 years at the Procter & Gamble Company, beginning in product development after graduating from The Ohio State University in chemical engineering. In her last two years at Procter & Gamble, she was manager of Worldwide Strategic Planning for the company's expanding global hair care business.
Ms. Hendricks serves on the board of directors of Corn Products International Inc. and the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges. She is a member of the Commercial Club in Cincinnati and recipient of the YWCA Women of Achievement Award in Cincinnati in 1997.
Previously, her affiliations include board membership of ACNielsen Corporation and the Columbia Energy Group; trusteeship of the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce; and membership on the Cincinnati Business Committee and the Ohio Business Roundtable.
Ms. Hendricks, a native of Shelby, Ohio, and her husband, Milt, live in Cincinnati, and have four grown children.

Dimon R. McFerson, of Powell, Ohio, was appointed to the board in 2000, the same year he retired as chairman and CEO of Nationwide, based in Columbus, Ohio. McFerson joined Nationwide in 1979 as vice president of Internal Audits and was elected senior vice president of Finance in 1983, president of Nationwide Property & Casualty companies in 1987, and chief executive officer in 1992.
A Los Angeles native, Mr. McFerson is a 1959 graduate of UCLA and earned a master's degree from the University of Southern California in 1972. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and holds a chartered life underwriter (CLU) professional designation. He was awarded honorary doctorates from Capital University, Ohio Dominican University, Otterbein College, and Franklin University.
He is past chairman of the United Way of America Board of Governors and past first vice chair of the American Red Cross Board of Governors. In the local community he is past board chair of the Center of Science and Industry (COSI), past vice chairman of The Columbus Foundation, and he serves locally as an elected member of the Olentangy Local School Board in southern Delaware County. He served two years (1998-2000) as chair of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. McFerson and his wife, Darlene, have lived in Ohio for 30 years and have 27 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Jo Ann Davidson was appointed as a member of the OSU board of trustees in 2001. No stranger to public service, Davidson is former Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives. Serving ten terms in the Ohio House of Representatives representing a portion of Franklin County, Davidson was the first woman Speaker of the Ohio House, serving in that position from 1995 through 2000.
Davidson currently has her own consulting firm, JAD and Associates, in Columbus. In 2001, she served as interim director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Her public service career also included a 10-year stint as a member of City Council in Reynoldsburg, a suburb of Columbus, from 1968-1977.
Mrs. Davidson has received a number of honors for her service including induction into the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame in 1991, the YWCA Women of Achievement Award in 1992, the Good Housekeeping Award for Women in Government, and Governing Magazine's Public Official of the Year in 1999.
Davidson serves as co-chairman of the Republican National Committee and serves as a director of the Western & Southern Financial Group. Mrs. Davidson was awarded honorary doctorates from The Ohio State University, Ohio University, Franklin University and the University of Findlay.
Mrs. Davidson, who resides in Reynoldsburg, has two daughters, Julie and Jenifer, and four grandchildren.

John D. Ong, of Hudson, Ohio, was appointed to the board of trustees in December 2005, by Governor Bob Taft. John D. Ong was appointed by President George W. Bush as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to the Kingdom of Norway in 2001. He served in this capacity until November 30, 2005.
Mr. Ong has had a long and distinguished record as a leader in the business community. Presently chairman emeritus of the B.F. Goodrich Company, he retired as chairman of the board of directors in 1997 after more than 36 years of service to the company. He held a variety of positions during his tenure at B.F. Goodrich, including vice-president and president of International B.F. Goodrich and President and chief operating officer. From 1979-1996, he served as chairman and chief executive officer. In 1984, President Reagan appointed Mr. Ong to the President’s Commission on Industrial Competitiveness, where he served as co-chair of its International Trade Committee. He currently serves as senior visiting policy fellow at the Research Triangle Institute of Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
Mr. Ong has played a leadership role in a number of key organizations involved with education and business. He is a life trustee of the University of Chicago and is a Trustee of the Musical Arts Association of Cleveland, Ohio (Cleveland Orchestra), the Fort Ligonier Association and a trustee emeritus of Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio. Mr. Ong is a leading advocate for business involvement in civic and cultural activities, both nationally and in northeast Ohio. He is a former chairman of the Business Roundtable, the National Alliance of Business, the Business Committee for the Arts, New American Schools, Inc., and the Ohio Business Roundtable. He was a member of The Business Council from 1989-2005. He is now a member of the Council of Retired Chief Executives and the Council of American Ambassadors. He has served as a director of seven S&P 500 companies. Mr. Ong is a recipient of the Humanities Award of Distinction from Ohio State University’s College of Humanities, the Alumni Medal from Ohio State University, and honorary doctorates from Ohio State University, Kent State University, the University of Akron, and South Dakota State University. He was awarded the Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit in November 2005.
A native of Ohio, Mr. Ong received both his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Ohio State University and his law degree from Harvard University. Mr. Ong is married to Mary Lee Ong; they have three grown children.

Douglas G. Borror was appointed to the board of trustees in 2002. Mr. Borror is chairman and chief executive officer of Dominion Homes, Inc., a Columbus-based homebuilder and developer. Dominion Homes is one of the largest homebuilding companies in Ohio and Kentucky, and currently ranks in the top 50 homebuilders in the United States.
Doug has been with Dominion since 1979, serving in various capacities until becoming president in 1987, and chief executive officer in 1992. He led the company’s initial public offering in 1994, and its expansion into Kentucky in 1997. In 1999, he was named chairman, and has overseen the addition of a title insurance agency, mortgage operation, and additional product line expansions.
Doug is also very active in the business and charitable arenas of the Columbus community. He serves on the board of directors of Columbia Gas of Ohio, Capital South Redevelopment Corporation and Bancinsurance Corp. In addition, he is on the board of directors for The Wellington School, Recreation Unlimited, and the Advisory Board of Goodwill Industries. He is past chairman of the East Central Region of The Young Presidents' Organization, and completed a two-year term on their International Board of Directors. Additionally, he is a licensed real estate broker and a member of the Columbus Board of Realtors.
A lifelong Central Ohio resident, Doug graduated from Upper Arlington High School and earned a bachelor of arts degree in history from The Ohio State University. He resides in Dublin, Ohio, with his wife, Kim, and his two children, Dani and Donald.

Leslie H. Wexner, was appointed to the board of trustees in December 2005. He previously served on the Board from 1988-1997 and was chairman of the board from 1996-97.
Leslie H. Wexner, Founder of Limited Brands, started the company in Columbus, Ohio in 1963 with one store and first year sales of $160,000.
Mr. Wexner serves as Chairman, President and CEO of Limited Brands, which operates 3,140 stores including Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, C.O. Bigelow, La Senza, White Barn Candle Co. and Henri Bendel. Sales for Limited Brands in 2006 were $10.7 Billion.
His areas of community interest include the Wexner Center for the Arts at The Ohio State University; the Wexner Institute for Pediatric Research at Children’s Hospital, Columbus; the Martin Luther King Center for the Performing Arts, Columbus; and the Wexner Heritage Village. Mr. Wexner was a recipient of The Alexis de Tocqueville Society Award of the United Way of America, Woodrow Wilson Award for Citizenship, Ordre des arts et des letters, Knight of the Italian Republic and The American Jewish Committee Herbert H. Lehman Centennial Leadership Award. He was a founding member and the first chair of The Ohio State University Foundation.
Mr. Wexner is a Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences; Member of the Visiting Committee of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University; Trustee of the Columbus Jewish Federation and Foundation; Member of the Royal Shakespeare Company International Council; Member of the John Glenn School of Public Affairs; and Chairman of The Columbus Partnership.
Mr. Wexner has a profound interest in the development of tomorrow’s leaders through the works of the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University; Harvard University’s Center for Public Leadership; and The Wexner Foundation.
Mr. Wexner holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and honorary degrees from The Ohio State University; The Hebrew University of Jerusalem; University of Tel Aviv; Hofstra University; Marietta College; Hebrew Union College; The Jewish Theological Seminary of America; Yeshiva University; and Brandeis University. Mr. Wexner was inaugurated by Harvard University into the Society of John Harvard Fellows, and serves as a visiting lecturer at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
Mr. Wexner and his wife, Abigail, are the parents of four children.

Walden W. O'Dell, of Columbus, Ohio, was appointed by Governor Taft in 2003. He is former chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Diebold, Incorporated, a leading global provider of integrated financial self-service delivery systems, security and services.
Prior to joining Diebold, O’Dell held a series of high-level positions with Emerson Electric Co. He most recently served as president of Emerson’s Ridge Tool division in Elyria, Ohio, while also serving as group vice president of the tool group of Emerson. During his 33-year career at Emerson, he ran operations on five continents including the manufacturing, distribution and sales of a variety of electronic equipment and service businesses. He has had experience in places as diverse as China, Malaysia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He was president of the Liebert Corporation, a subsidiary of Emerson in Columbus, Ohio, where he led the transformation of the company from a $400 million domestic hardware producer to a $1.1 billion global leader in network computers and telecom support equipment and services.
O’Dell serves on the board of directors of the Columbus Association of Performing Arts (CAPA) and is a member of the board of trustees of the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC). He formerly served on the boards of Lennox International Inc. of Richardson, Texas, and the United Way of Greater Stark County, and is a past member of the Ohio Business Roundtable and a past national trustee of Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He is a member of The Ohio State University Advocates and is a lifetime associate alumni of The Ohio State University. He is committed to excellence in education and is an active supporter of the University.
A native of St. Louis, O’Dell earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from St. Louis University, where he finished first in his class in his senior year. He earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering from St. Louis University with a 4.0 GPA, before earning another master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University, where he finished in the top 10 percent of his class and majored in finance and international business.
Mr. O’Dell’s wife, Patricia, graduated from St. Louis University with a bachelor of arts in Sociology. She is on the board of Opera Columbus. Both Mr. and Mrs. O’Dell are actively involved in several Ohio charitable organizations. The O’Dell’s have four children ranging in age from 27 to 38 and four grandchildren.

Alex Shumate was appointed to the board of trustees in May 2006. He previously served on the board from 1989-1998 and was chairman of the board from 1997-98. Mr. Shumate is managing partner of the Columbus Office of the international law firm of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P. and the partner-in-charge of the firm’s Legislative Counseling and Administrative Law Practice Group. He is consistently selected by his peers for inclusion in the annual Best Lawyers in America and as an Ohio Super Lawyer.
Mr. Shumate serves as a director of Nationwide Financial Services, the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company and Cincinnati Bell, Inc. He is president of The Limited Brands Foundation Board, secretary of The Columbus Partnership, and director of The John Glenn Institute and the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation. He previously served as the chair of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, the Columbus Urban League Board, The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute Board, and The Capital Club.
He received his B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University and his J.D. from the University of Akron. Before joining Squire, Sanders he served as chief counsel and deputy chief of staff to the Governor of the State of Ohio and as assistant attorney general, State of Ohio.
Mr. Shumate has been honored by organizations including the Columbus Bar Association, the United Negro College Fund, the NAACP, the Ohio General Assembly, Capital University School of Law, and The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. In 2007, he received the Columbus Award, the most prestigious award given by the Columbus Chamber, for outstanding business and community leadership. In 2003, he was named Humanitarian of the Year by the American Red Cross.
He is also a recipient of The Ohio State University Distinguished Service Award, the John B. Gerlach, Sr. Development Volunteer Award from The Ohio State University Foundation, the Jewish National Fund Tree of Life Award, the Robert S. Crane Trusteeship Award from Leadership Columbus, the Outstanding Alumni Award from the University of Akron School of Law, and was named a Distinguished Alumnus by Ohio Wesleyan University.
Mr. Shumate resides in Gahanna with his wife Renee and he has two sons, John Alexander and Aaron Michael.

Brian K. Hicks was appointed to the board of trustees by Governor Bob Taft in 2004. He is president and CEO of Hicks Partners, LLC, a public affairs firm with offices in Columbus and Washington, D.C. He also serves as president and CEO of Association Management Partners, LLC, a full service association management and special events company.
Prior to forming Hicks Partners in 2003, Hicks served in a number of positions in state and federal government. He served as chief of staff for the governor of Ohio, Ohio deputy secretary of state and as senior legislative assistant to a member of the United States House of Representatives.
As chief of staff to the governor, Hicks was involved in virtually all aspects of managing the state of Ohio for more than four years. He was responsible for significant policy and legislative issues including development of Ohio's operating and capital budgets.
Hicks has played key roles in a number of statewide candidate, judicial and issue campaigns, including both successful Ohio Bush-Cheney campaigns. During the 2004 presidential election, Hicks was a regular political commentator for an Emmy award-winning show entitled "Campaign Perspectives" on the Columbus NBC affiliate.
Hicks is a member of the board of the Ohio Water Development Authority. He is a 1987 graduate of The Ohio State University, where he served as president of the Undergraduate Student Government.
Hicks resides in Dublin, Ohio, with his wife, Kathlene, and their two children, Hannah and Jacob.

John C. "Jack" Fisher, a 2006 appointee to the OSU Board of Trustees, is a native of Bucyrus, Ohio. He now lives in Columbus and serves as executive vice president of The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, Inc., a 229,000 member state organization representing agriculture at local, state and national levels.
Mr. Fisher currently serves as a member of the boards of directors for the U.S. Feed Grains Council, U.S. Meat Export Federation, and Children’s Hunger Alliance. Fisher also serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the Ohio BioProducts Innovation Center.
He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agriculture from The Ohio State University and a master’s in counseling from Ball State University. He is a member of the OSU President’s Club, OSU Department of Animal Science Hall of Fame, and has been awarded the OSU College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Distinguished Service Award.
Mr. Fisher and his wife, Judy, are the parents of three grown children.

Robert H. Schottenstein was appointed by Governor Bob Taft to the board in 2005. He is chairman of the board, chief executive officer and president of M/I Homes, Inc., one of the largest homebuilder in the United States. Based in Columbus, the Company also has homebuilding divisions in Cincinnati, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; Chicago, Illinois; Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; Tampa, Orlando, and Palm Beach County, Florida; and in the Virginia and Maryland suburbs surrounding Washington, D.C. In addition, M/I Homes, Inc. provides mortgage financing through its subsidiary M/I Financial Corporation.
Since its founding in 1976, M/I Homes has sold over 72,000 homes. Over the years, M/I has established an exemplary reputation based on a strong commitment to superior service, innovative design, quality construction and premier locations. M/I’s stock is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “MHO.”
From 1977 to 1990, Mr. Schottenstein was engaged in the private practice of law specializing in commercial real estate, corporate and banking transactions. He joined M/I in 1990, was named President in 1996, Chief Executive Officer in 2003, and elected Chairman of the Board in 2004. He was named the homebuilding industry "Executive of the Year" by Builder Magazine in 2008.
For many years, Mr. Schottenstein has been active in a number of business and charitable organizations. He currently serves as a board member of the Columbus Jewish Federation (served as board chair from 2002-2004), and as a board member of The Children’s Hospital Foundation. Mr. Schottenstein is also a member of the High Production Home Builders Council of the National Association of Home Builders, and is a member of The Columbus Partnership.
From 1995 to 2006, Mr. Schottenstein was a Director of Huntington Bancshares, Inc. a regional national bank headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, he previously served on the Board of Ohio Dominican University, Columbus School for Girls, Columbus Torah Academy (served as Board Chair from 1985 to 1989), Ballet Met of Columbus, and was a member of the United Jewish Appeal National Youth Leadership Cabinet. In 1987, Mr. Schottenstein received the Columbus Jewish Federation "Young Leadership Award" and in 2002, he received the Central Ohio Building Industry Association "Builder of the Year Award."
Robert H. Schottenstein has an undergraduate degree from Indiana University and a law degree from Capital University. He is married to Jeri Block, has four children, and resides in Jefferson Township, Franklin County, Ohio.

Alan W. Brass, of Toledo, Ohio, was appointed as a member of the OSU board of trustees in 2006. His career spans over three decades in healthcare and has predominantly been associated with large multi-hospital systems and with major academic centers. Mr. Brass is chief executive officer for ProMedica Health System in Toledo. ProMedica is one of the largest and fastest growing healthcare systems in the Midwest.
Prior to joining ProMedica, Alan Brass served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer for the BJC Health System. In this position, he oversaw the operation of the System’s 50-member merged and affiliated hospitals and six long-term care facilities. He assumed operational responsibility on a system-wide basis. In addition to his responsibilities within BJC, Mr. Brass was also president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Mr. Brass has held administrative positions with Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio; served as director of Operations at the University of Michigan Medical Center; and was administrator of Children’s, Women’s and Holden Perinatal Hospitals in Ann Arbor. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Youngstown State University, and a master’s degree in hospital and health services administration and finance from The Ohio State University.
He currently serves as a board member of the Ohio Hospital Association – System CEO Advisory Council and The Toledo Symphony. He is a member of American Hospital Association; American College of Healthcare Executives; Children’s Hospital Executive Committee; Council of Retired Directors for Children’s Miracle Network; Health Management Academy - CEO Forum Health System; National Association Children’s Hospitals & Related Institutions (NACHRI); Ohio Children’s Hospital Association and Michigan Hospital Association. Mr. Brass is also a faculty member at Ohio State University, St. Louis University, and Washington University.
Mr. Brass lives in Toledo and has two sons, Mark and Glen.

Ronald A. Ratner, from Cleveland, was appointed by Govenor Ted Strickland, for a term of 11/30/2007-5/13/2015. Mr. Ratner currently holds the position of Executive Vice President and Director of Forest City Enterprises, Inc. In addition, he is President of Forest City Residential Group which comprises all of the multifamily residential ownership, development, management and financial activities of Forest City Enterprises.
Mr. Ratner’s experience with Forest City began in 1975 and has included direct development, construction, financing and management responsibilities, beginning with individual projects and executive supervision of multiple large scale developments on a national level. He has had direct responsibility for over 40,000 residential units in 15 States.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Brandeis University and completed the Masters Program in Architecture at UCLA.
Mr. Ratner is active in community and civic organizations and has served or is currently serving on the boards of Brandeis University, Park Synagogue and the Western Reserve Historical Society among others. He is also a member of the International Advisory Board for the Harvard Real Estate Initiative and Harvard Design Magazine’s Practitioners’ Advisory Board. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and a Director of the National Multi Housing Council, and has served as a member of FNMA’s National Housing Impact Advisory Council.

Algenon L. Marbley, of Columbus, was appointed as a member of the OSU board of trustees by Governor Strickland to serve a nine-year term. In 1997, he was appointed by President Clinton as a United States District Judge for the Southern District of Ohio. Prior to his appointment, he was a partner with the Columbus, Ohio office of the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, where he specialized in civil litigation with an emphasis on business litigation, product liability litigation, and employment litigation. Before joining Vorys, Judge Marbley was an assistant general counsel in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and had previously been an associate in the Chicago law firm of Montgomery and Holland.
Judge Marbley serves on the boards of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Inc., the John Glenn School of Public Affairs, Martin Luther King, Jr. Performing & Cultural Arts Complex, is chairman of the board of directors of the K.I.P.P. (Knowledge is Power Program) Central Ohio Charter School, and is a member of the board of directors of the African-American Leadership Academy.
He is an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and at the Harvard University Law School. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from the University of North Carolina and a juris doctor degree from Northwestern University. He also received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Capital University Law School.
Judge Marbley and his wife, Janet, and their two sons live in Columbus.

Christopher A. Alvarez-Breckenridge, of Blacklick, was appointed to a two-year term on the board as the graduate/professional student trustee by Governor Bob Taft in 2006. He is a graduate of St. Charles Preparatory High School and completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University, receiving a BA in Biology and a BS in Classics. He is currently pursuing an MD/PhD in the Medical Scientist Program at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Christopher serves on the Fiscal Affairs Committee and the Agricultural Affairs Committee.
During his undergraduate years at Ohio State, Christopher was a member of the College of Medicine’s Early Admissions Pathway and became involved in many of the Universities research and involvement opportunities. He worked in the Human Cancer Genetics Program where his senior honors thesis examined lipid signaling in breast cancer and he presented his work at several national and international conferences, including Toronto and Sao Paulo. His research accomplishments and aspirations led him to being named a Barry M. Goldwater Scholar as a sophomore and a Thomas J. Bardos Scholar as a Junior. His extracurricular involvements also extended to being a member of Sphinx Senior Class Honorary, Vice-President of Sigma Phi Epsilon, President of the Association of Ohio State Class Honoraries, 2004 Homecoming Court, an Honors and University Ambassador, and a trip leader for the Greek Alternative Spring Break trip that served AIDS/HIV patients in New York City. Christopher’s graduate/professional involvements have included the Council of Graduate Students, University Research Committee, and the Medical Center Master Space Plan Steering Committee.
After the completion of his graduate and professional studies, Christopher hopes to pursue a career as a physician-scientist in translational research in order to bring cutting edge research developments to disease prevention and patient care.
Christopher is the son of David Breckenridge and Carmen Alvarez-Breckenridge of Blacklick, Ohio.

Debra J. Van Camp, from Lancaster, was appointed as a student trustee, by Governor Strickland for a two-year term beginning 5/31/2007. Debra is a graduate of Canal Winchester High School, and is currently pursuing a BS in Food Science and Nutrition with a minor in Agricultural Business at The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. Debra serves on the Academic and Student Affairs Committee and the Agricultural Affairs Committee.
Upon enrolling at Ohio State in 2005, Debra became the first Fairfield County recipient of the Land Grant Opportunity Scholarship. During her time at Ohio State she has become involved in undergraduate research and participated in a five week study abroad to the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science in Beijing, China. Debra has also worked as a student assistant in the Food Science Lab and with the Economic Access Initiative. Debra strongly believes that improving college access is crucial to helping the University reach its long-term goals and to developing a stronger State economy. As part of her work with the Access Initiative, she has created a Student Board of Directors to serve as the “student voice” of the office. Debra is also very active in Undergraduate Student Government, and was elected as a senator to represent students living off-campus during her junior year.
Debra plans to continue to pursue her passion of food science and agriculture in graduate school and hopes to pursue a career that will allow her to apply knowledge of food science and agricultural economics to continually improving food safety and quality.
Debra is the daughter of Pamela Van Camp of Marysville and Robert Van Camp of Groveport.
